American Brain Tumor Association

July 18-20, 1997 the American Brain Tumor Association will host its third national biennial brain tumor Symposium for patients, families and healthcare professionals. The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, near Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

Prominent doctors from leading medical centers across the country will discuss State-of-the-Art Treatments and be available in Question and Answer rooms. Investigators from clinical cooperative groups will provide information about clinical trials and how to enroll. Breakout sessions will focus on biological therapies, lower-toxicity drugs, health insurance and disability benefits, symptom management, support strategies for patients and caregivers, brain tumors in children and much, much more.

Program details are available from our office. Send us a message at or call us at (800) 886-2282.

American Brain Tumor Association

The American Brain Tumor Association has a new educational Sunday Afternoon program activity for brain tumor patients and their families, Town Hall Meetings.

The intent of this regional activity is to offer patients/families an opportunity to hear a panel of clinicians present state-of-the-art treatment information in his/her own specialty. Each clinician makes a brief presentation and then responds to written questions from the audience.

Plans are currently underway to have two Town Hall Meetings this spring: Baltimore, March 16th and Philadelphia, April 6th.

For information, please send your name and mailing address to us at Be sure to tell us which Town Hall Meeting you are interested in attending. About a month before the meeting, we'll forward complete details, including speakers and location. We ask only that you call to reserve a place for this free educational meeting.

For more information, call us at (800) 886-2282.
