In Memoriam
Dr. Ballantine was associated with the Neurosurgical Service from 1938, when he began his residency until his death April 14, 1996, at which time he still served as chair of the cingulotomy committee. The exception was 6 years during WW II and two years with Max Peet at Ann Arbor.
