Liberty's Story:

Good day! I am Liberty Grace Tiu, 24 years of age from the Philippines. I was diagnosed ( told ) that I have a neurofibromatosis way back 14 years ago. I was only ten years old then, it was my 2nd & last consultation For reasons, we were told that there's nothing much that can be done on my case that there's nothing much to be worried about since it is non-malignant. But to be honest I am getting worried nowadays, you see I have lots of cafe-au-lait which I love to call birthmarks :) which comes in different sizes & shapes, 'also have an scoliosis & the worst thing is these flexible tumors that are not just growing in size but also multiplying, wherein some of which is already starting to grow in my neck! To be honest, I still don't fully understand why & how NF came to be. You know, I've been struggling for too long now, not knowing what to do! there are times I would be feeling like I'm so down in the dumps..then self pity would creep-in sometimes. though somehow I can find a way to console myself :)
