Neurofibromatosis Resources

Site Hosting

A multitude of thanks to [Massachusetts General Hospital Neurosurgery] for their generous offer to host this site on their server. I am not affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital or Harvard Medical School, and they are not responsible for the content of these pages. They are providing a service to the public by making this patient-to-patient resource possible.

Disclaimer

I am not a medical professional, nor do I possess any level of expertise on the subject of Neurofibromatosis. These pages are the result of my attempt to make information which is already available on the internet more accessible by compiling it into one page of resources.

My searches for information were originally made using various search engines. More recently, I've expanded my search resources to include [Webrings], among others. I've attempted to locate resources that provided patient information in an understandable way, and to categorize those resources in a way that would simplify people's search for information. In addition, I made an attempt to locate sources of information regarding some of the complications that neurofibromatosis can cause, in both children and adults.

Accessibility

In an effort to make these pages accessible to people with visual disabilities, I have attempted to follow [Unified Web Site Accessibility Guidelines] developed by staff at the [Trace Research & Development Center] and recommended by the [National Center for Accessible Media].

In addition, I have used the [CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology)] "Bobby" verification service. These pages have been analyzed for their compliance with standards of HTML 3.2, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0, Netscape Navigator 3.0, Lynx 2.7, and accessibility to people with disabilities. I am pleased to announce that they have earned the "Bobby Approved" four stars for accessibility.

Because I value the work that is being done to share information about NF, I have developed an award to recognize the hard work of the people who create pages dealing with NF. Please take a moment to view the [Award] and the ones awarded to this page by others.
